Forgiven

All of us need forgiveness. Romans 3:23 says we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sometimes our sins can become heavy burdens. Some are tormented with the constant reminder of their transgressions. Others hold themselves back from pursuing God. However, that is why Jesus came. John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” God sent Jesus Christ, His Son to die for our sins, so that we can be forgiven. On the third day, after Jesus’ death, God raised him from the dead and He is alive forevermore. Jesus Christ shed his precious blood, so that we can be cleansed from our sins. Hebrews 9:22 says, “without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sins.” However, having your sins forgiven is not automatic. You have to choose to believe and receive Jesus’ sacrifice.
